In this role, you will be the global marketing lead for 3 strategic accounts: Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Optiv. 

Elastic is growing our Global Partner Marketing program and this role will be instrumental in going deep with strategic accounts that expand our mindshare and affect revenue potential across multiple geographies.  Reporting to the Director of Global Partner Marketing, this role will be responsible for both the strategy and execution of marketing plans with these partners. 

We are looking for someone with good business acumen, partner marketing skills and a willingness to create global programs from the ground up. The Strategic Accounts Marketing Programs Manager will work with Elastic Sales, Regional Partner Leads, Product Marketing and Global Marketing teams to create joint value propositions with the strategic partners, identify and prioritize marketing activities aligned to business goals, working with the partner to identify funding options, work with regional teams for input on overall planning, manage to a budget (including MDF funds), measure ROI and report results.  

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Work with 3 strategic partners (Google Cloud Provider, Microsoft Azure, Optiv) to represent Elastic’s interests in creating joint messaging and a co-marketing plan
  • Plans should map into specific business objectives designated by each region, such as creating awareness, expanding community, lead generation of net-new leads, upsell into existing joint accounts, etc.
  • Prioritize activities with input from Elastic Sales and communicate clearly to the regions what will or will not be supported from a global account marketing plan perspective.
  • Present and participate at partner quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Work with Global Marketing functional experts to ensure execution happens smoothly. This may include activities such as event sponsorships, joint customer wins, content for web and social media, etc. 
  • Manage a budget, including partner MDF funds with our partners. 
  • Recommend metrics aligned to business goals. Work with the Marketing Data Analytics team to track and report results for continuous improvement. 
  • Some travel will be required.

What You Bring Along:

  • Marketing experience working with large, complex partners.  Cloud experience a plus. 
  • Willingness to adapt as things change at our fast-growing company. 
  • Understanding or strong interest in Elastic’s products, open source, and how search can be used to solve a wide array of use cases
  • An ambitious, yet humble approach to consult with internal teams and with our partners to develop a plan.
