As the company continues to grow, so do our Elastic{ON} global events programs. We are looking for a self-starting individual that will be both hands on and will focus on execution of our Elastic{ON} programs in EMEA and APAC. Our Elastic{ON} events provide a one-stop shop for our users and customers to come learn about the Elastic Stack. They get a chance to ask their hardest questions at the Ask Me Anything booth, listen to product deep dives, meet our technical experts onsite, and network with members of the Elasticsearch community and our customers.

In this role, you will wake up each morning eager to build, drive, plan, and implement extraordinary programs, targeting prospective customers and existing customers, as well as contribute to the success of the worldwide pipeline goals. You'll be collaborating with teams across the company and globe and do all of this while traveling to events and running your programs to precision (up to 50%).

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Planning and executing events end-to-end, including selecting events aligned to company strategy; executing contracts and managing the budget; directing creative production; communicating with attendees; attending events and leading all aspects of set-up and take-down; ensuring streamlined event operations and follow-up.
  • Manage logistics, speakers, agendas, and staff for Elastic events and major third party conference sponsorships
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team including sales, technical and product resources on events
  • Ensure budget, performance and ROI are tracked, and supporting processes set up to effectively lead to successful outcomes.
  • Continuously gather feedback, iterate, and adapt programs to result in maximum impact.
  • Using Marketo, Salesforce, Google Analytics and other sales and marketing tools to run events in your region.

What You Bring Along:

  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in English
  • 5+ years of end to end event management
  • Can-do attitude, acts without being told what to do, drives projects to completion
  • People person and empathetic
  • Thinking two steps ahead, is crucial.
  • Detail oriented, does not let important details slip through the cracks or derail a project.
  • Efficient, able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort.
  • You have been successful in a competitive, fast-paced, goal-driven environment
  • Self disciplined, a life on the road means a lot of flexibility, still being able to maintain productivity while traveling is key
  • Willingness and ability to travel at least 50%
