What is The Role:

Elastic is seeking a motivated and results-driven New Business Sales Representative to join our dynamic sales team. As a New Business Sales Rep, you will be responsible for driving the acquisition of new public sector clients, expanding Elastic’s customer base, and promoting our world-class search and data solutions to organizations that are at the heart of making a difference in society.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and qualify potential public sector customers in target markets using a variety of prospecting methods (cold calls, emails, social selling, etc.).
  • Sales Presentations: Engage with key decision-makers in government, education, and nonprofit sectors to demonstrate the value of Elastic’s products and solutions.
  • Consultative Selling: Understand the unique needs of prospective clients in the public sector and offer tailored solutions that address their pain points.
  • Deal Closure: Drive the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing deals.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, Solution Architects and Customer Success, teams to ensure a seamless sales experience and foster long-term customer relationships.
  • Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs to drive growth for Elastic.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay up to date on public sector trends, industry regulations, and competitors to position Elastic as a leader in the space.
  • Forecasting

What You Bring:

  • Proven track record of success in new business sales, preferably in public sector, B2B SaaS and/or technology,
  • Strong ability to build relationships across organizations in government, education, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions in simple terms.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A consultative sales approach with a focus on long-term customer success.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative and high-performance culture.
