We're looking to add a new node to the Product Marketing cluster, focusing on the Elastic Enterprise Search solution. In this role, you will be a trusted thought partner to the product leads, working closely on jointly defining the outbound strategy and go-to-market for Elastic Enterprise Search products. To be successful in this role, you will need to be comfortable with the technical aspects of your product and the markets they play in, as well as, the creative aspects of positioning technology through messaging and stories that are compelling, authentic, and differentiated.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a product marketing lead for our Enterprise Search product, and take ownership of the strategy to drive awareness and market penetration
  • Serve as an internal authority on the developer user persona
  • Craft compelling and differentiated outbound product messaging and content
  • Enable the field on our products and solutions, through training and content
  • Understand and define the target personas and their buying needs
  • Define and execute (with operational marketing teams) the GTM strategy for new launches & campaigns
  • Build a strong partnership with peers in Product Management, Engineering and Community to successfully launch new features and products and engage with users
  • Work with your marketing peers to drive product campaigns and launches, creating messaging and content to support
  • Maintain a subset of competitive analysis for Elastic Enterprise Search solutions
  • Attend and present at Elastic events, third party trade shows and other events to help showcase our products
  • Some travel may be required

Job Requirements

  • Curiosity about the “how” of technology to tell compelling stories about the “why”
  • Comfort working in a very cross functional role, with a highly distributed team
  • Be a spokesperson for your product and Elastic at large for internal and external audiences - including webcasts, trainings, and analyst briefings
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Direct experience with the search space, and audiences that build search experiences
  • Product marketing experience with SaaS product preferred
  • Proven track record to craft engaging content for app developers, including blog posts, decks, videos, etc.
  • Comfortable marketing to mix of developers and business audience

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $135,900 and $186,900, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
