We're looking to add a new node to our cluster, focusing on driving core messaging and go-to-market (GTM) programs for Search. This PMM will be responsible for all aspects of product marketing for the generative AI use case, including market segmentation, messaging and positioning, content creation, campaign support, and field enablement. You will work closely with Elastic product managers, sales, and partners across marketing to align and communicate Elastic's vision across markets, users, prospects, customers, and partners, generating awareness, demand, and market leadership for Elastic in the Search segment.


  • Identifies market opportunities, gaps, and narratives around generative AI trends and core technology innovations.
  • Helps carry out company and solution-wide product launches – from planning initiatives to tracking progress and measuring results.
  • Understands the process and research required to develop outcome-based and use case-based messaging and content that aligns to our corporate messaging, by persona and in support of our search solution and industries teams.
  • Brings leadership and collaboration skills, interfaces effectively with Product, Sales, and Marketing.
  • Deeply understands target personas and segments, how customers buy and users adopt our products with generative AI, and the value they derive from them.
  • Develops messaging for multiple audiences, including developers, IT, and business decision-makers, that can be adapted across various channels, social, web, events, etc.
  • Clearly articulates Elastic's position and differentiation in the market.
  • Crafts curated, compelling content and delivers sales enablement.
  • Represents the company at conferences, community, and customer events and other demand gen opportunities.

What You Will Bring

Familiarity with Elastic technology is a bonus. We would love to hear from you if you have:

  • Experience leading outbound product initiatives focused on new, groundbreaking technology and/or enterprise customers with complex requirements.
  • Experience in product marketing collaboration with other functions across marketing, sales, and partner organizations.
  • Creative energy, and out of the box thinking, someone who has a track record of generating customer-centric campaigns that impact the company's bottom-line.
  • An execution-oriented approach. Comfortable balancing multiple priorities with a performance history of staying organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Experience with public speaking.
  • Technically savvy with regards to target personas, our products, solutions, industries we play in or capable of learning very quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a very cross functional role with a highly distributed team.
  • One or more domain-relevant experiences is a plus (Cloud, Search, AI, Open Source).
  • Sales Enablement experience.

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below.  In select locations (including Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA, the San Francisco Bay Area CA, and the New York City Metro Area), an alternate range may apply as specified below. 

These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

$113,100$178,940 USD
The typical starting salary range for this role in the select locations listed above is:
$135,900$215,050 USD
