As an Industry Principal Marketing Manager, Public Sector at Elastic, you will guide messaging, content and GTM programs for the Public Sector, including federal, state and local, and international governments. In addition, you will provide some support for Healthcare services, as often these are inclusive of public sector responsibilities within government institutions. You will work with sales, marketing and our customers to build awareness, demand generation and sales enablement programs that help achieve pipeline goals. You will also build thought leadership content through editorials, blogs, white papers, industry and partner events. This role reports to the head of go-to-market product marketing.

The impact you will have:

  • Develop messaging and content that articulate Elastic search platform capabilities, differentiating value, and solutions for the Public Sector.
  • Partner with marketing teams to develop targeted campaigns for technical practitioners and business leaders.
  • Build the core messaging and content for digital programs, field marketing, sales engagements, and channel marketing.
  • Build targeted content to create awareness in the industry including infographics, ebooks, articles, blogs videos and other customer-facing materials.
  • Work with customers to build compelling content for high-profile speaking engagements, customer case studies, videos, and brand campaigns.
  • Lead industry solution launches and media coverage.
  • Research customer and market trends to help advise content development and enablement.
  • Work with industry SMEs to build sales tools, enablement and training e.g. sales plays, sales presentations, battle cards, and prospecting templates.

What we look for:

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, solution marketing or industry marketing for an enterprise software or SaaS company.
  • Customer-facing experience with personas like enterprise architects, application developers, data scientists, data engineers, CDO's, CTO's, CIOs, business analysts and business executives.
  • Portfolio of impactful messaging, content and sales enablement materials
  • Consistent track record in crafting dynamic marketing and sales enablement material – this is a must-have!
  • Experience with cloud, big data, data analytics, data warehousing, machine learning technologies is a plus
  • Experience presenting at conferences/seminars and customer engagements.
  • BS in Marketing or Computer Science, Engineering, coupled with relevant professional experience; MBA or advanced degree a plus.

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $135,900 and $186,900, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
