We are looking to hire a Salesforce/Copado admin to join our growing CRM IT team. As Elastic has grown, our CRM platform (Salesforce) has evolved and we need specialists in key areas of our tooling supporting specific areas of our business. This role will not only need to know Salesforce but also must have experience in working with a global company. You will be working with our team of SaaS (Salesforce, FinancialForce, CPQ) admins and developers to ensure the needs of CRM support and Kanban teams, as well as the health of our deployment pipeline, is running smoothly and predictably, to ensure timely releases as Elastic scales. The ideal candidate is looking to 1) Make an impact on a growing team and company 2) Enable us to scale our operations to match our explosive growth 3) Show a fundamental understanding of how users interact with CRM tooling and the best ways to enable their success. 

What You Will Be Doing: 

  • Demonstrate passion and ownership by embracing all aspects of Salesforce release execution, Copado adoption, and manual releases automation. 
  • Use of Copado for deployment starting from setup to creating User Stories and to Promote, Deploy and Collaborate closely with team members and business community alike.
  • The Salesforce/Copado DevOps Admin will be ultimately responsible for the deployment of all software releases, the care, and maintenance of all Salesforce environments (sandboxes) to include refreshes and back promotions as required 
  • Play an integral role in the development of a scalable CIBTD (Continuous Integration, Build, Test & Deployment) framework to be used by the Scrum and Kanban teams respectively.
  • Lead, advocate and enforce solid CIBTD (Continuous Integration, Build, Test & Deployment) best practices within the Salesforce environment 
  • Solid understanding of tools and best practices for Continuous Integration, Build, Test & Deployment [GitHub, Jenkins, Copado, etc] 
  • Work closely with developers/engineers and the Scrum masters to co-ordinate minor and major releases during the year 
  • Ability to participate and contribute  in our agile development process as well as working with our CRM Support team who leverage Kanban
  • You must be able to do some basic to advanced Salesforce configuration work e.g.
  • Configure and maintain custom objects, record types, fields, page layouts, formulas, data validation rules, custom workflows, approval processes, installed packages, etc. within Salesforce.com
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to summarize complex system functionality for the business user.

What You Bring Along: 

  • Have a Salesforce Administrator (Must have)  and Salesforce Advanced Admin Certifications (4+ years of hands-on experience) and motivation to achieve advanced admin certification within the first six months on the job.
  • Copado Admin Certification 
  • 3-5 years experience administering or managing deployments on the Salesforce platform (Enterprise Edition or higher), preferably in a large multi-dimensional organization 
  • Should have a minimum of 3 years Copado work experience 
  • Working knowledge of Sales Automation systems such as Salesforce Sales Cloud
  • Ability to work with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Have a knack for listening and interpreting user requirements and then turning them into action 
  • Knowledge of what Agile development practices and a sprint delivery model
  • Strong CRM software deployment methodologies
  • Knowledge of Backup and Recovery 

Bonus Points: 

  • Other Salesforce certifications- Sales Cloud Consultant and Service Cloud Consultant.  
  • Experience with Salesforce Sandbox Seeding Tools such as Prodly, Familiarity or exposure with test automation tools such Provar, Selenium 
  • Understanding and familiarity with Back-Up and Recovery methods and tooling
  • Any developer experience on the Salesforce platform or other web application platforms
  • Being awesome

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $78,700 and $108,200, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
