We are looking for a self-motivated individual as we expand the Internal Audit program at Elastic. This position will be responsible for supporting the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance program as well as varying internal audit projects including financial, operational, and compliance audits in accordance with the Company’s Internal Audit Plan. Project assignments provide an opportunity to collaborate with and develop a deep understanding of various areas across the broader organization.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Responsible for executing internal controls testing in support of the SOX Compliance Program. This includes identifying and evaluating the effectiveness of the key controls, documenting results, and ensuring supporting documents corroborate the test results.
  • Identify internal control issues/exceptions and ensure they are well-defined, root causes analyzed, discussed, and agreed with management.
  • Follow-up on control deficiencies/findings, review and validate remediation plans.
  • Assist with updates to internal control design, working with external auditors to identify any design gaps and implementing new or revised controls.
  • Liaise with internal partners, external auditors and respond to requests or issues in a timely manner.
  • Build trust and maintain positive relationships with internal partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Assist with the creation of Internal Audit presentations.
  • Manage assigned tasks to achieve deliverables within established timetables while producing high quality work.

What You Bring Along:

  • 2+ years of internal audit, external audit, SOX or related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree required - major preference of Accounting/Finance.
  • CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and comfort with the unknown.
  • Curiosity to learn more about Elastic’s business operations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills around business processes, controls, and deficiencies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google applications.

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $74,200 and $102,000, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
