The Global Solutions Architect is a technical sales professional responsible for providing architectural expertise on high value opportunities within our Global Account team. Dedicated to one client,  this role is seen as a technical leader that develops winning and innovative solutions which best meet a customer’s business requirements by leveraging a range of technologies and services. The SA provides a consultative approach to understanding customer business and technical / service requirements within an architectural domain, including an expert knowledge of the competitive landscape. You will be expected to mentor others and share technical and architectural depth within the Elastic community.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead the solution design phase of the pre-sales cycle in order to ensure high quality and integrated cross-functional business solutions
  • Align with key customer roles including CIO, CTO, IT Architects, technical staff, and business representatives to identify top business and technical priorities
  • Use creativity, architectural expertise, and business acumen to address customer needs with the Elastic solution set
  • Create, present, and gain alignment on QBR updates to team and client 
  • Accurately assess current state, maturity, and overall deployment effectiveness in order to create the technical vision for future state and its business benefits
  • Conduct repeatable strategy, architecture, roadmap, and planning workshops
  • Define, develop, and evolve architecture standards and principles
  • Responsible for transitioning pre-sales knowledge and assets to the post-sales implementation and support teams
  • Work with the entire Elastic community to provide premium customer experience

What you bring with you:

  • 7-10 years in presales technical role with a heavy emphasis on large-scale digital transformations
  • Extensive knowledge of various cloud solutions (AWS, GCP and Azure) and high-value use-cases
  • Knowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape (Solutions capabilities and offerings)
  • Ability to clearly articulate business architecture (mission/vision, capability models, capability assessments) and technical architecture (current and future state diagrams, solution best practices, reference architectures, design patterns)
  • Ability to provide roadmap and migration methodology, timelines, and initial time-to-value for any recommendations
  • Be proactive, responsive, and available in your engagements with communication to partners, peers, and extended team members
  • Extensive background in Enterprise positioning and line of business value selling
  • Proven architecture expertise in Elastic or other related competitive solutions
  • Elastic Engineer or cloud certification
