Elastic is searching for a Sales Manager to lead and expand business, together with driving strategy within our Commercial sector . Our Sales Managers are focussed on growing revenue through new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion, meeting and exceeding all sales targets and performance metrics. This role is a first line manager position and will be managing a team of around 6 people currently, with a scope to increase this over the coming fiscal year.  Are you an accomplished Sales Leader, having managed successful sales people in a dynamic market? What You Will Be Doing:

  • Fostering an inclusive environment of teamwork, transparency, creativity and continuous improvement.
  • Partnering across Elastic’s leadership community to ensure a seamless experience both for employees and customers.
  • Inspiring the team to achieve the best they can do through energy, problem-solving and recognition.
  • Supporting the team and fostering a high engagement environment.
  • Travel regularly (up to 70%)  to assist in deal creation and closure, as well as meet any managerial needs and provide support to your team as required.
  • Orchestrate the development and regular review of sales plans that reflect our business strategy to advance market share/penetration.
  • Encourage the adoption of personal development plans to ensure the individuals in the  sales team are improving and growing.
  • Add value to sales team members by way of supporting them and coaching them on how to apply consultative-selling techniques to identify and advance opportunities. 
  • Ensuring the attainment of assigned sales quotas by ‘leading from the front’ and driving Elastic’s sales methodology
  • Deliver an accurate sales forecast for the team through the robust application of the MEDDPICC qualification process .
  • Assess and manage the sales team performance to ensure individual and team excellence, build activities to increase productivity and accomplishments 

 What You Bring With You:

  • 5 - 10 years experience of leading teams to exceed quotas and objectives within a fast paced and technical client acquisition driven business.
  • Strong SaaS sales leadership experience.
  • Executive level relationships with business leaders in the Commercial business sector
  • Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment

  • Experience working within an Open Source model
