Elastic is searching for a Sales Manager Commercial Accounts to lead and expand business in EMEA Central. We are looking for a person that can help drive our strategy for the commercial accounts in the assigned territory. Our Sales Managers are focussed on growing revenue through new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion, meeting and exceeding all sales targets and performance metrics.

This role is a first line management position and you will be leading a team of approximately 5-6fte. The scope of this role is to act as a true people manager and also increase the team over the coming fiscal year. We do look for a manager with a coaching attitude that can help the team grow in their skillset. You will report into the Regional Vice President who is reporting into the Area Vice President for EMEA Central. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Fostering an inclusive environment of teamwork, transparency, creativity and continuous improvement.
  • Partnering across Elastic’s leadership community to ensure a seamless experience both for employees and customers.
  • Inspiring the team to achieve the best they can do through energy, problem-solving and recognition.
  • Supporting the team and fostering a high engagement environment.
  • Travel regularly to assist in deal creation and closure, as well as meet any managerial needs and provide support to your team as required.
  • Orchestrate the development and regular review of sales plans that reflect our business strategy to advance market share/penetration.
  • Encourage the adoption of personal development plans to ensure the individuals in the  sales team are improving and growing.
  • Make valuable contributions to sales team members by way of supporting them and coaching them on how to apply consultative-selling techniques to identify and advance opportunities. 
  • Ensuring the attainment of assigned sales quotas by ‘leading from the front’ and driving Elastic’s sales methodology
  • Deliver an accurate sales forecast for the team through the robust application of the MEDDPICC qualification process .
  • Assess and lead the sales team performance to ensure individual and team excellence, build activities to increase efficiency and accomplishments 

 What You Bring With You:

  • 3 - 5 years experience of leading teams (could also be in a more team lead role) 
  • Strong SaaS sales leadership experience including proven understanding of channel business (we have a direct but also indirect model)
  • Executive level relationships with business leaders in the Commercial business sector
  • Ability to operate in an ambitious environment
  • Good understanding of the EMEA-Central Region. 
  • Native or Fluency in German
