About the Team

The Platform release team provides the framework, guidance and leadership that empowers product teams to ship Elastic software every three weeks. While the build and release engineers on the team have been working on either the Elastic Stack or the Cloud Platform services for many years, this is a newly formed team that combines both sides of our platform in an effort to increase our release cadence. We have a lot of work ahead of us, from empowering our product teams to take more ownership in the build and release process to moving from a time based release approach to a continuous delivery model via our cloud platform.

Our release infrastructure is powered by technologies such as gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, Tekton CD, Artifactory, Jenkins, Buildkite and languages such as Java and Python. While a technical background in the release and continuous delivery space is required in order to be a good counsel in Engineering discussions, we do not expect regular code contributions.

In this role, you will

  • Lead and mentor a globally distributed team of 6 engineers
  • Build roadmaps and lead prioritization; balance the right amount of structure and planning for a fast paced engineering team with many stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of mutual respect and collaborative decision making

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $126,800 and $174,400, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
