What You Will Be Doing:

We're looking for a technical lead for our Cloud Orchestration team. If a customer builds a new Elasticsearch cluster or makes changes to it, it's our orchestration software that knows how to move all of the pieces and make that change actually happen in the backend. The technical lead will guide the technical direction and evolution of the software we build to power Elastic's SaaS offering, which we also offer as an on-premise product, Elastic Cloud Enterprise.

What You Bring Along:

Our codebase is currently a mix of Scala, Go, and Python. Ideally you're flexible on languages and want to consider the right tool for the job. Our orchestration engine predates Kubernetes, and you'll help us evolve our platform with an eye towards the future, while supporting our very fast growing business.

We get to use distributed systems knowledge every day, and put it into practice. Ideally you'll have some experience with Elasticsearch, or orchestration of a stateful service for a SaaS offering. You'll enjoy investigating technical problems, working closely with the globally distributed orchestration team, as well as setting direction of our technical strategy for all things orchestration.
