At Elastic, we see endless possibility in a world of endless data. And we use the power of search to help people and organizations turn that possibility into results. Elastic is the leading platform for search-powered solutions. With solutions in Enterprise Search, Observability, and Security, we help improve customer and employee search experiences, keep critical applications running smoothly, and protect against cyber threats. Elastic enables organizations worldwide to use the power of Elastic, including Netflix, Uber, BBC, Microsoft, and thousands of others.

Elastic was built on a foundation of being free and open, which trickles down to how we work. We’re a distributed organization and have been from the beginning. Being distributed isn’t just a way of doing business—it’s a mentality that is at the core of our culture.

The Enterprise Search team focuses on a variety of use cases across the broad search market application search, website search, workplace/organizational search, ecommerce search, knowledge base search, and more. Broadly recognized as a Leader in the search space, Elastic is uniquely positioned to drive the next generation of technologies using a singular Stack, powered by Elasticsearch. That said, opportunities exist far beyond information retrieval: machine learning-powered relevance, simple and intuitive data ingestion with out-of-the-box data integrations with the world’s most widely adopted platforms, operational tooling for deploying search at scale and search experience delivery through modern frameworks and clients are an integral part of Elastic’s success. As Engineering Director for our team, your day-to-day is invested in making critical decisions in the evolution of a big product and platform over multiple years and releases and leading a large team with a coherent vision while making appropriate compromises along the way - quite an exciting journey!
