The Cloud Security Posture team is responsible for helping users protect their cloud-native environments using policy management and cloud security enforcement. As a Software Engineer at Elastic on the Cloud Security Posture team, you will be working on the Backend both in Kibana and in the Agent in order to build the cloud security posture product. You'll be working with the engineering team and product management to build high quality, Scalable and robust components into our system and the Elastic stack.

What you will be doing: 

  • You’ll contribute end-to-end (backend) implementations to Cloud Security on top of the Elastic stack, a free and open platform, providing users with capabilities to protect their cloud-native environments using policy management and cloud security enforcement. 
  • You’ll lead engineering best practices on both the Agent (Golang) and Kibana (Typescript) sides, contributing to a reliable and extendable foundation for the user experience.
  • You’ll drive product focused engineering efforts to invent and ship valuable and meaningful features to an excited market.
  • You’ll work in Golang, Typescript and gain experience in the domain of cloud and cloud security.

What you bring along: 

  • Experience leading enterprise-grade features into a large scale web applications 
  • In-depth experience with multiple Programming languages, preferably but not limited to: NodeJS & Golang
  • An interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows and philosophies that can help you grow. You can function well in an environment that drives towards change. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, a great teammate with strong analytical, problem solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • The ability to work in a distributed team throughout the world.
  • Passion for building value to millions of users of the Elastic stack.

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes - a significant advantage
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud environments - a significant advantage
  • Familiarity with the Open Policy Agent - a significant advantage
  • Experience in developing a security-related SAAS product - an advantage
  • In-depth experience in Golang and TypeScript - an advantage
