Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate, M&A and Government Affairs, we are looking to hire a highly motivated Corporate & Securities Counsel to join our corporate legal team in this fast growing, truly globally distributed company.  Your role will be distributed working primarily from home, and we are focusing on lawyers located in the US. 

You have excellent judgment and great interpersonal skills, are tech savvy, learn quickly and enthusiastically, and you are able to balance competing demands on your time; you independently manage your time in a fast-paced environment with overlapping deadlines and you are responsive in monitoring communications. 

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Reporting pursuant to, and in compliance with, rules and regulations of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission such as annual and quarterly reports on forms 10-K and 10-Q, proxy statements, Form 8-Ks, Section 16 filings and other SEC filings
  • Reporting pursuant to, and in compliance with, rules and regulations of the New York Stock Exchange
  • Prepare Board and Committee meeting materials such as agendas, corporate governance related materials, corporate resolutions and meeting minutes for Board of Director and Committee meetings
  • Prepare and update corporate governance policies and charters
  • Anticipate and identify changes in relevant laws and regulations, and develop and implement recommended actions
  • Collaborate with other members of the legal, finance (tax, treasury, etc), HR, and operations teams to complete inter-company, tax, treasury, equity, corporate finance, M&A and other strategic initiatives around the globe
  • Partner with co-workers who are sharp and motivated, combined with a company culture that is inclusive, stimulating, and unequaled
  • Assume responsibility for subsidiary management around the globe, overseeing the team’s paralegal for execution of this work

What You Bring Along:

  • A Juris Doctor degree 
  • Between approximately 3 and 5 years of corporate law experience with any combination of law firm and/or in house roles.You thrive while independently running your own time in a demanding, fast-paced environment, and can handle ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities with flexibility, patience, and humor
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, and proud to ensure nothing is missed
  • Strong strategic and problem-solving capabilities
  • The ability to prioritize and drive to results
  • An excellent work ethic


Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary.  This role does not have a variable compensation component.  

The typical starting salary range for new hires in this role is listed below. These ranges represent the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the ranges may be modified in the future.  

An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Elastic believes that employees should have the opportunity to share in the value that we create together for our shareholders. Therefore, in addition to cash compensation, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic's stock program.  Our total rewards package also includes a company-matched 401k with dollar-for-dollar matching up to 6% of eligible earnings, along with a range of other benefits offered with a holistic emphasis on employee well-being.

The typical starting salary range for this role is:
$184,600$291,985 USD
