The Services Staffing Manager (SM) is an important member of the Services Delivery team at Elastic and is responsible for scheduling the Elastic Services Delivery team and Co-Delivery partners on Elastic engagements. The SM is a close partner of the Regional Services Delivery Managers (SDM) and reports directly to the Geo Services Leader.

The SM maintains the skills inventory of internal and partner resources to ensure appropriate skills are identified and assigned to customer engagements. Additionally, a key responsibility during this period of growth at Elastic is building excellence in the processes underpinning staffing, skills tracking and managing key utilization targets.

A successful candidate will have experience managing multiple stakeholders of varying levels, be highly organized, have a strong attention to detail and be a highly driven self-starter.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Be a strategic business partner to both the GEO & Regional Service Delivery Leadership.
  • Review, manage and execute staffing of resource requisitions.
  • Drive Resource Management Interlock with Services Delivery Management and Services Operations.
  • Align staffing of billable personnel, maximizing ability to achieve billable utilization targets.
  • Create strategic relationships with services partners for staffing Elastic projects.
  • Manage competitive rates that ensue achievement of partner margin targets.
  • Track partner certifications and high-quality resources.
  • Maintain internal partner spend targets in line with required capacity.
  • Provide regional services management whitespace reporting and capacity recommendations based on business requirements.
  • Ensure skills inventory, resumes and profiles are updated and accurate.
  • Contribute to Services Delivery knowledge base through creation of best practices and lessons learned content.
  • Best practices on resource management. 
  • Ability to manage different stakeholders concurrently.

Job Requirements: 

  • 5+ years in resource management.
  • 3+ years in a professional services organization, recruitment agency or consulting company.
  • RMI Certification 
  • The ability to apply judgement to any situation 
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Deep understanding of Elasticsearch and our products 
  • History of working within Professional Services organization within SaaS company

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $86,400 and $118,800, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
