Position Summary

The Services Staffing Manager is an important member of the Customer Success Group  at Elastic and is responsible for the resource management & scheduling practice for the Elastic Services Delivery team and Co-Delivery partners. The Services Staffing Manager is a close partner of the Services Delivery Managers and Engagement Managers and reports directly to the Geo Services Leader. 

The Services Staffing Manager maintains the skills inventory of internal and partner resources to ensure appropriate skills are identified and assigned to customer engagements. Additionally, a key responsibility during this period of growth at Elastic is building excellence in the processes underpinning staffing, skills tracking and managing key utilisation targets. 

A successful candidate will have experience managing multiple stakeholders of varying levels, be highly organized, have a strong attention to detail and be a highly driven self-starter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review, manage and execute staffing of resource requisitions.
  • Drive Resource Management Interlock with Services Delivery and Engagement Management and Services Operations.
  • Align staffing of billable personnel, maximizing ability to achieve billable utilization targets.
  • Ensure skills inventory, resumes and profiles are updated and accurate.
  • Provide regional services management whitespace reporting and capacity recommendations based on business requirements.
  • Be a strategic business partner to both the GEO & Regional Service Delivery Leadership.
  • Contribute to Services Delivery knowledgebase through creation of best practices and lessons learned content.
  • Best practices on resource management.
  • Ability to manage different stakeholders concurrently

Job Requirements:

  • 5+ years in resource management in professional services and/or engagement management, preferably in Big Data, Cloud and/or Open Source space
  • Experience in enterprise level project management, professional services delivery and customers success
  • Adequate knowledge of project management systems and delivery methodologies
  • The ability to work in a stressful, hectic and constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
