Position Summary

The Services Partner Delivery Manager is an important member of the Customer Success Group at Elastic and is responsible for partner technical oversight, post-sale management, including partner success and execution. A key responsibility during the period of growth at Elastic is building out a portfolio of Services partners to deliver Elastic projects on our behalf in a co-delivery format.

The Services Partner Delivery Manager is a close partner of the Services Delivery Managers and Engagement Managers and collaborates with the Elastic Partner team for each region as well.

The Services Partner Delivery Manager is responsible for helping to select partners with appropriate resources and skills sets and help onboard, train, enable and certify these partners so that they can successfully deliver client projects either on behalf of or in conjunction with the Elastic Services Delivery team. 

A successful candidate will have experience managing multiple stakeholders of varying levels, be highly organized, have strong attention to detail, and be a highly driven self-starter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acquire appropriate Services partners and build the required capacity to deliver Elastic projects either in a full outsourced manner or in a co-delivery approach with the Elastic Services Delivery team.
  • Educate Partners in Elastic implementation methodology and processes when engaging in co-delivery.
  • Oversee Training, Certification, and ongoing Education for Services partners.
  • Allocation and outsourcing of Projects to Services partners. This includes selecting the appropriate partner for the project and working with the partner closely to ensure project success.
  • Providing project oversight, governance, and best practice advice as required.
  • Advocate for the Partner’s needs internally; Managing any escalations and issues on projects being delivered by partners.
  • Support ticket escalation and management for Services Partner raised support issues.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for each Services partner.
  • Participate in Partner Quarterly Business Reviews and performing Partner Performance Reviews 
  • Collaborate with Service Delivery leadership and Marketing to develop partner enablement documentation/tools/assets. 

Job Requirements: 

  • 5+ years experience within a  professional services organization as, Partner Manager, and/or Consulting Manager
  • Excel at working directly with Partners and customers to gather, prioritize, plan and execute solutions to customer business requirements as it relates to technology
  • Ability to communicate effectively and coach Partners in the technology domain of search, analytics, or related technologies
  • Good commercial knowledge and business acumen
  • Ability to identify and manage risk and issues
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments 
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment 

Bonus Points:

  • Bachelor or graduate degree in Business/Economics, Computer Science, or related discipline, or comparable certification and experience
  • Understanding of our technology space, including Elasticsearch, Linux, Java, software development, NoSQL, and/or databases
  • Elastic Stack Background.
  • Passion for open-source technology and business model
