As the Sr. Director of Global Services Delivery, you will lead a dynamic team that ensures the successful delivery of billable projects through technical implementations and client enablement. You’ll be setting the course for this highly impactful and visible part of our organization, and will play a key role in the current and future strategy of our Services business.

Reporting to the VP of Professional Services, you’ll leverage your expertise in building implementation methodologies and processes that scale. Your goal will be to drive long-term customer retention through repeatable solution delivery for a wide variety of products and use cases.  In addition, you will be partnering across the Elastic organization GTM teams: Sales, Pre-Sales Engineering, Support, Marketing, and Customer Success.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Overseeing the end-to-end delivery and customer success of global professional services and training
  • Impacting revenue in a highly-visible, customer-facing role for leading our consulting and training delivery team, developing new business in the region, meeting financial targets, developing our services offerings, and building strong relationships both within Elastic and with our customers and partners
  • Executing on professional services management including hiring, team leadership, team development and enablement, project scoping, P&L margin, forecasting, and reporting
  • Liaising closely with the Elastic sales, finance, legal, and engineering teams to scope opportunities while assessing risks, questions, or concerns
  • Accountability for hitting Services revenue targets globally
  • Demonstrate very strong customer-facing communications skills such as meeting presentation (video/audio conferencing and in-person), customer advocacy, partner development, and relationship building
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills for managing a Professional Services Automation ("PSA") application, meeting business and utilization targets, and team scheduling and skills
  • Excel with professional services workflow including financial planning, business and legal negotiations, project oversight, and significant multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with high quality expectations
  • Leadership within a highly distributed Services team and partners, and flexible to work with global customers across many time zones
  • Innovating, presenting, mentoring, and documenting on methodology, process, and scale

What You Bring Along:

  • Minimum of 10 years of global leadership experience in relevant professional services, pre-sales, or software development functions, managing directors and/or managers
  • Excel at working directly with customers to gather, prioritize, plan and execute solutions to customer business requirements as it relates to technology
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the technology domain of search, analytics, or related technologies
  • Track record of success in professional services or related technology fields
  • Have experience managing organizational and project financials, customer negotiations, and building and growing a Professional Services practice
  • Ability to travel up to 35% of the time, including internationally

Bonus Points:

  • Understanding of our technology space, including Elasticsearch, Linux, Java, software development, big data, security, search, NoSQL, and/or databases
  • Experience working as a billable consultant or project manager is valuable for empathy and understanding
  • Passion for open-source technology and business model
