We are looking for a passionate and hardworking benefits professional with a strong US benefits background to join our Global Benefits team. Our ideal candidate is an experienced, driven individual with a deep understanding of the benefits landscape in a variety of countries including what we need to consider in the context of different cultures and different employee segmentations.

Reporting to the Director, Global Benefits & Wellbeing, you will have the support to develop your expertise whilst enjoying the autonomy to lead in delivering a number of our major programmes.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Oversee performance of benefit programs in AMER and manage relationships with vendors to ensure compliance with all policies, service level agreements, laws & regulations and to ensure excellent customer service for plan participants.
  • Demonstrate deep knowledge and experience with the US healthcare market (including value based care, self funded plans, healthcare access strategies) to build innovative health plan strategies focusing on the health of our population and employee experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of compliance with country-specific requirements such as COBRA, ACA, ERISA, and HIPAA and other regional, country, federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Lead on day-to-day activities related to benefit programs including medical, retirement, time off plans (leave of absence), dental, wellness, life insurance, etc. Ensure that programs are aligned with current regulations and support the organization's strategic objectives.
  • Research, design, and propose new or revised benefits offerings that align with the company's strategy. Lead RFPs, vendor selection and implementations.
  • Assist with the development of our global wellbeing programs, analyze employee wellbeing requirements, monitor and advise on global wellbeing trends
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives supported with concise project plans and excellent written communication delivered through country calls and presentations.
  • Stay informed of changes to local, state and federal laws pertaining to health and welfare benefits; drive appropriate system and process updates in coordination with HR Operations and HRIS peers.
  • Supervise the renewal/annual open enrollment process to include annual benefits pricing, plan design, open enrollment fairs and communications. Work closely with the internal communications team to build resources for employees to understand the value of their benefits.
  • Work closely with internal partners (purchasing, legal, finance, payroll, etc) to ensure accurate and on-time delivery of benefits programs.
  • Continuously support and engage Elasticians, HRBPs, HR Operations and Recruiting on program features and resources to encourage utilization.
What You Bring Along
  • Minimum of 5 - 8 years relevant expertise in Global benefits;
  • Experience in building and refining programs, policy and process that provide an outstanding employee experience whilst remaining compliant within a high-growth global company
  • Strong communication skills with an ability to emphasise the key messages and simplify benefits speak.
  • Strategic, critical thinker who isn’t afraid to get into the weeds; a real passion for problem-solving and bringing people insights to the business
  • Ability to build effective work relationships at all levels of the organization, influence behavior, and lead change
  • High degree of integrity and honesty; ability to exercise confidentiality and neutrality in sophisticated and sensitive situations
  • A global approach while also being in tune with local context and market practice

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $106,800 and $146,900, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
