Elastic is seeking a Managing Editor of our corporate blog to manage an in-house newsroom, own an editorial calendar that supports awareness of brand, product and talent, lead amplification strategies, add to the creativity and journalistic sensibility of the team, and grow reader engagement and conversion. This position will also serve as an important partner to the broader marketing team, as well as corporate functions and senior executives, to create publishing strategies, write or edit content, and consult on how to achieve business goals through editorial and publishing solutions.

This role is ideal for someone with editing and writing experience in journalism, and strategic communications and brand publishing experience in a corporate setting. You’ve led teams, scaled an editorial platform, and have a track record growing audience engagement. You agree that content isn’t an end unto itself. You understand how to connect editorial to business outcomes and the importance of advancing users on a buyer journey. You understand the developer audience and the C-Suite audience–and the type of content that lands for each. You are a self-starter with proven project and business management skills, and the ability to operate in a highly visible and accountable role. You are goal-oriented, genuinely curious, and constantly looking for ways to learn and improve. You are comfortable with spreadsheets and analyzing metrics to make decisions and identify creative opportunities. You understand SEO and organic growth strategies.
