Partner Marketing Lead - China

In this role you will lead Elastic’s partner marketing relationship, strategy and execution with China Partners, mainly AliCloud.

Elastic’s APAC China Partner Marketing team has just been set up. As a start-up group, we comprise of small teams working to build up the partner marketing framework, and to create scalable processes, programs and localised content in amplifying our go-to-market opportunities with both AliCloud and TencentCloud as priority partners. This role requires someone who can strategically look at new opportunities and segmentations in the growing dynamic of the China market, work with our partners and set a vision for what is possible.  Communicating and promoting that sell vision both to the partners and internally at Elastic, and dive into the details to bring the vision to life. 

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Identify and grow relationships at the China and regional levels at AliCloud
  • Position Elastic as a strategic, smart, easy-to-work-with partner to help increase mindshare within AliCloud
  • Research and propose new marketing programs to support the Elastic/AliCloud GTM
  • Establishes operational objectives and work plans and programs in pilot phases,along with the local team of Partner Sales Manager, Solution Architects, Community and Global Communications and PR team. 
  • Ability to direct and manage resources, driving towards successful marketing deliveries aligned with Elastic/AliCloud common goals
  • Track and present ROI, including internally and at partner QBRs 
  • Manage a budget and administer MDF payments 
  • Work with Product Marketing to ensure the right messaging and content is created to support the marketing funnel 
  • Be the Elastic Brand Ambassador to the various stakeholders across various departments from Product Managers, Marketing, Head of Marketing and Communications within Partner organisation
  • People management, project management and stakeholder management skills. One direct report locally. 
What You Bring Along:
  • Get-it-done attitude, positive energy, team orientation, resourcefulness, and grit.
  • Marketing experience working with partners, especially around creating and managing a portfolio of campaigns to generate incremental pipelines. Experience with China partner Management, Public Cloud providers in China is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Writing and editing content is a key part of this role, and presentation skills are required to pitch new programs to partners and present results during QBRs. 
  • Strong project management skills.
