We are looking for an outstanding Senior Revenue Manager to join our Revenue team to optimize our customer contracting and revenue recognition processes.

Reporting to the Director of Revenue, the Senior Manager will be a key contributor in advising cross-functional teams on strategic transactions and deal structure to optimize revenue recognition in a very fast-growing, dynamic, and distributed company. You will also work with the other Revenue leaders to ensure our monthly revenue close is completed efficiently and effectively.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Co-Lead with Deal Desk, Legal, Sales, Order Ops, and Product in deal structuring during contract negotiations for non-standard and/or large deals and be the subject matter expert in advising on resulting impacts on revenue recognition.
  • Conduct contract review, prepare and review of internal reporting packages and month-end results.
  • Build and refresh company revenue accounting policies and related procedures
  • Support external quarterly reviews and year-end audits.
  • Mentor and grow other Revenue team members.

What You Bring Along:

You have a solid understanding of software and SaaS revenue guidance under US GAAP, with a positive, solution-oriented demeanor and ability to remain calm in complicated situations.

You are a hard-working, quick learning self-starter, a clear communicator, and a thorough reviewer who can identify risks and issues, investigate underlying details where vital, and quickly escalate matters where appropriate.

You are not afraid of a high-growth business and its fast-paced demands.

In addition, you have

  • Outstanding communication skills. You are able to speak confidently and explain sophisticated revenue concepts to non-revenue personnel across the organization.
  • Prior experience in a public-traded technology company.
  • 4+ years as an experienced successful revenue manager in a global public technology company, experience with software term licenses and SaaS.
  • Strong Excel and PC skills, ERP, RevPro, and Salesforce experience preferred.

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $128,100 and $176,200, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
