We are looking for an experienced stock leader to lead our stock administration team within finance as Elastic grows, and we scale our processes. You will be a part of a distributed team in a rapidly growing software company which issues stock in 40+ plus countries. What You Will Be Doing:

  • Leading and coaching a team of two senior analysts and providing guidance and review.
  • Leading/representing the stock team through new processes or projects (e.g. implementation of ESPP, equity granted in new countries, E*TRADE integration with new payroll system, implementation of income sourcing software).
  • Reviewing existing and designing new processes for scale, balanced with the need for accuracy and compliance.
  • Point of escalation for questions, issues, concerns and complex equity questions from employees.
  • Partner with legal, finance, HR, external tax experts and other cross-functional teams to ensure that we are in compliance with global reporting and compliance requirements, including as we expand in new countries.
  • Own the E*TRADE database and administration of all global equity incentive plans including the timely processing of new equity awards, option exercises, RSU releases, terminations/cancellations, vesting schedules, maintaining data integrity, etc.
  • Ensure the team maintains detailed documentation of all stock related processes and procedures and accountable for successful completion of stock team SOX controls.
  • Provide support for other departmental activities or special projects as needed, including owning international tax research and compliance (in partnership with third party tax experts).

What You Bring Along:

  • 8+ years in stock administration in a global environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree and CEP (strongly preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience communicating and partnering with cross-functional teams at all levels.
  • E*TRADE experience (strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive and effectively lead a team in a rapidly growing and fast paced environment at scale. Proven experience to think and execute at scale is critical!
  • Analytical mindset with an emphasis on building and designing scalable processes.
  • Comprehensive experience in different types of equity awards and public company equity programs, across multiple jurisdictions at a multi-national public company.
  • Experience in global tax and reporting requirements, including managing process at scale for mobile employees and working with external tax experts on compliance.
  • Solid business judgment with ability to think strategically and plan operationally; capable of being hands-on but also can see the big picture.

The typical starting Total Cash Compensation range for new hires in this role is between $124,400 and $171,100, which consists of a Base Salary or a Base Salary plus a Target Commission, depending on the specific role. The Base Salary offered may vary depending on factors including skills and experience.

Additionally, this role is currently eligible to participate in Elastic’s equity plan as well as a range of health & wellbeing, retirement savings, and other benefits within a holistic total rewards offering.
