Revenue Manager

We are looking for a Revenue Manager to be the newest member of our cloud Revenue team in this fast growing, truly globally distributed company.

You will join a team in transition and growth. Elastic is growing like a rocket ship and our team is challenged to scale and ensure the integrity of our underlying data. In this role, you will be assisting with the growth of Elastic's cloud business by improving business processes reconciliation procedures, preparing journal entries, and assisting with month-end and quarter-end close activities within the Company's revenue system - RevPro.

You will have significant impact with training and developing new teammates as the Revenue team continues to grow. Furthermore, you will collaborate with many groups including: Order Operations, FP&A, the Non-Revenue Accounting Group, Internal Audit and those outside of Elastic being external auditors and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and understand various cloud product offerings to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
• Assist in UAT testing related to cloud revenue, cloud billing, and cloud reporting.
• Be a key team contributor during month end, quarter end and year-end close by performing revenue account reconciliations, conducting fluctuation analyses, and preparing reporting requests.
• Work with SOX and Audit teams in testing key controls around the revenue close process and other revenue estimates
• Support ad hoc projects, including systems implementation, and upstream data improvements
• Ensure accurate reporting of revenue in RevPro through preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and data validations

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree
• Proficient with finance practices & requirements for SaaS software companies
• Experience in end-to-end business scenarios including Order-to-Cash and Revenue Recognition
• Strong experience with MS excel
• 3-5 years of prior revenue experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Zuora RevPro experience
• 2+ experience working with NetSuite
• Knowledge of SQL, BigQuery, or Alteryx is highly coveted
• Excellent teammate who is able to collaborate with global cross functional teams
• Ability to multi task and scale quickly in a fast paced environment
• Creative problem solver
• Very detail-oriented
• Experience with internal controls and SOX compliance
• Knowledge of software and SaaS revenue under ASC 606
