Our Finance team is seeking a strong Accounting Manager to build an international accounting team in India and work closely with a well-established US-based Accounting team. The Accounting Manager position is located in Bangalore and will report to our Director of Accounting located in the United States. With the guidance from our Director of Accounting and local Director of Accounting Operations in Bangalore, your efforts will be instrumental in the success of the day-to-day financial operations of our global organization. You will be fundamental in establishing our India hub for the Accounting, optimize and standardize our monthly close process to close the books timely while developing our team as they proactively keep pace with a rapidly growing business. Ours is a fast-growing, truly globally distributed company. 

You will work together with a broad range of groups: Cash, Payroll, Consolidations, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, Financial Reporting, FP&A, Revenue Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit as well as external auditors and consultants.

What you will be doing:
  • Manage Accounting activities including close, consolidation, and policy accounting for assigned areas or projects
  • Oversee and manage general ledger accounting activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting, including reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, flux analysis and performing or reviewing internal controls
  • Actively participate with the cross-functional teams in driving monthly close optimization process
  • Adopt a continuous improvement approach to refine and streamline the close and audit preparation process
  • Effectively build, lead and manage a team to deliver against the objectives of the department
  • Being knowledgeable of and bringing insight on world-class processes and tools. Align with global tools, policies, and processes wherever possible and practical
  • Ensure compliance with local statutory regulations for international subsidiaries
  • Support the tax function with schedules and information required for timely tax compliance
  • Participate in preparation of documentation for annual audits and quarterly reviews for external auditors, internal audit SOX control requests, other and accounting team data requests 
  • Lead special projects as needed
What You Bring Along:
  • 4+ years’ relevant financial experience, currently a Manager or Senior Manager of Accounting or Consolidations with a US-headquartered globally operating public company
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, a related field or equivalent education; 
  • CPA strongly desired or ACCA / CA required
  • 4+ years audit/assurance experience at a manager level from a Big 4 public accounting firm
  • Familiarity with NetSuite, FloQast, Xactly software, Excel and Google suite
  • In-depth knowledge of foreign exchange translations and CTA calculations
  • SOX experience and experience interacting with Big 4 auditors
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role building, managing, mentoring and developing robust teams
  • Previous experience working in a high growth environment (you should enjoy developing policies, defining processes and building key controls)
  • Ability to work both independently and as a great leader and teammate in a dynamic environment with multiple and sometimes competing priorities and matrix reporting structure

Proven track record to collaborate and build positive relationships with other teams within finance and non-finance teams to effectively make recommendations, implement processes/policies, etc.
