Elastic is looking for an experienced, driven and dynamic Accounts Payable Supervisor to help build, train, and lead a team of AP Analysts and Purchasing Technicians in India, primarily in Bangalore. In this role you will help create and develop the Purchasing Technician role responsible for ensuring compliance with our purchase order process. Elastic is growing fast and this is a new opportunity reporting to the Senior Manager, Global Accounts Payable in the Finance Shared Services group. It's imperative that you enjoy working from home, or an unaffiliated co-working space if you do not live adjacent to an Elastic workplace.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Hire, train, coach, and retain team in India
  • Assist in the development of new Purchasing Technician role
  • Maintain efficiency and quality in processes, ensuring transactions and controls related to the Procure to Pay function are in accordance with Elastic’s policies and procedures
  • Act as first point of contact to resolve emergencies or raised issues
  • Develop, monitor, and distribute metrics such as policy violations, ATF (after the fact) purchase orders, etc
  • Prepare or review assigned month end reports, reconciliations, and required journal entries
  • Create and update user training guides and educate employees on the Purchasing Policy and PO process
  • Drive continuous improvement by supporting management initiatives, system enhancements, new system implementations, and developing and documenting new processes

If that's you, hopefully you also have:

  • 8+ years of professional Accounts Payable experience, with at least 2 years managing a team, preferably with global and public company experience
  • Experience in SaaS or technology industry is preferred
  • Experience in a Shared Service Center environment is a plus
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to be flexible and accommodate some overlap working hours with US timezone
  • Deep understanding of the global Procure to Pay process, including experience with implementing new programs and processes
  • Solid understanding of US GAAP and SOX compliance
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to enhance performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, organized and thorough with the desire for continuous improvement
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills preferred, Google Workspace, and the ability to prepare and deliver presentations
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced, constantly evolving environment
